The World According to Hungarians

Since we haven't yet embarked for Europe, I'm not yet able to validate the title of this blog with any tales of pillagement and plundertude. So, I decided that the best thing to do is illuminate your minds as to the destination of our initial plunderdom.

As a side note, rules of grammar and spelling are, for all intents and purposes, fluid, and in most cases entirely arbitrary. Therefore, this blog shall employ comparatively laissez-faire orthographic and morphological structures. As opposed to most pseudo-academic ramblings, its focus will be more heavily weighted toward understanding than towards adhering to archaic rules of grammar--most of which were simply stolen from Latin and applied universally to English in an attempt to make it more pure, and by extension, static.

Unwittingly, my side note has risen above my original intention in a coup d'etat of less-than-epic proportions. I will therefore allow this map I found on Google images to serve as an ethnography of the Hungarian people--their history, their psyche, and their general worldview. I must admit that this map does that far better than I ever could with words... and it is not subject to the same grammatical sieve through which we are expected, as adherents to socio-linguistic mores, to pass all of our utterances--both written and spoken. Here, as promised, is everything you need to know about the land in which we begin our future wanderings.
